The Glevum Course is the longer and more demanding of the two, a mature parkland layout that winds through established tree corridors and tests course management as much as ball-striking. The Sphinx Course provides a slightly shorter but no less engaging alternative, particularly suited to those building their game or looking for a more relaxed afternoon round.

The complex sits in open countryside between Gloucester and Cheltenham, with the Cotswold escarpment visible to the east providing a backdrop that the course itself cannot quite match but which lends the experience a sense of place. The ground drains reasonably well for a Gloucestershire parkland, meaning the complex remains playable through much of autumn and winter when comparable venues to the north and west become difficult.
