The main 18-hole Valley Course was designed by Donald Steel and measures 6,412 yards. The River Crane features through the property, with water hazards, mature trees and changing angles shaping a course that rewards sensible position rather than indiscriminate power.
The Valley Course hosted the 2024 Dorset County Championship, while the wider venue also includes a 9-hole Woodland Course and a shorter HeadStart par-3 course.

Position, water and tee choice
The club encourages golfers to use the tee set that suits their ability, which is particularly useful for mixed groups. On the Valley Course, position from the tee and disciplined approach play matter because bunkers, water and tree-lined corridors can quickly turn an aggressive line into a recovery hole.
For a first visit, choose the tee that keeps intended landing zones in play, then favour the side of the fairway that leaves the cleanest angle into the green.

Trackman and short-course options
Crane Valley has a floodlit Trackman range, coaching and short-game practice, plus the 9-hole Woodland Course and HeadStart par-3 layout. That makes it unusually useful for groups that include golfers of different experience levels or want structured practice around the main round.

Year-round access with live booking
Visitors are welcome throughout the year and can book tee times online. The club publishes seasonal 2026 green-fee bands, with lower rates later in the day and different pricing across weekdays and weekends.
Pull trolleys, electric GPS trolleys, ride-on buggies and rental clubs are available. Prices and availability are date-sensitive, so pre-booking is sensible if equipment is important to the round.
