Perranporth Golf Club
A James Braid links course high above Cornwall’s north coast, combining exposed terrain, unusual sight lines and live visitor booking with a substantial 6,720-yard championship setup.

Raw links golf with first-visit strategy built in
Perranporth’s course guidance repeatedly asks golfers to use mounds, slopes and reference points rather than simply aim at what appears to be the centre of the fairway. That makes preparation unusually valuable: the challenge is not just distance, but reading terrain and committing to lines that may not be visually obvious on a first visit.
Live visitor booking remains active
Perranporth’s current booking system is live and the club continues to welcome visiting golfers. The public visitor-tariff page still displays figures last updated in 2023, so TGG does not present those older amounts as current 2026 pricing. Confirm the live rate at booking.
Blue tees
The club’s published course details list a par-72, 6,720-yard blue-tee setup with a 74.0 course rating and 128 slope.
First-visit planning
The club recommends a course planner, and its hole guidance consistently emphasises positioning, aiming references and elevation.
Trip role
Perranporth works best as an extension to the core North Cornwall swing rather than as a forced extra round in a tightly scheduled trip.
