A serious Yorkshire golf destination
Ganton has hosted the Ryder Cup, Curtis Cup and Walker Cup and remains one of Yorkshire’s most significant championship venues. Its sandy inland setting, extensive bunkering and location between York and Scarborough give it a different trip profile from the Leeds moorland courses.
Visitor tee times remain actively published
Ganton’s current visitor information says tee times are available during the week and at weekends, subject to availability, and advises booking in advance. The club requires eligible visiting golfers to hold a WHS Handicap Index.
2026 main season
The club publishes visitor green fees for 1 April to 11 October 2026, with weekday, Sunday, selected Saturday and twilight availability subject to booking rules.
Winter 2026–27
Separate winter visitor rates are published from 12 October 2026, with a members-only period over Christmas and New Year.
Stay on site
Ganton also publishes onsite Dormy House accommodation, useful for a course-led Yorkshire itinerary rather than a city-only base.
