Remedy Oak Golf Club
A modern Dorset woodland course routed through mature trees, heath and water, offering a secluded premium golf experience away from the busier coastal corridor.
At a glance
7,010 yards · par 72 · opened 2006
Remedy Oak was constructed in 2006 and designed by John Jacobs and his team. The course measures 7,010 yards from the back tees, with four tee sets available to make the layout more playable across different abilities.
The course sits among hardwood trees, mature conifers, rhododendrons, heather and wild grasses, with water coming into play on eight holes.
Playing character
Restraint can be a scoring advantage
Mature trees frame many holes and make the preferred side of the fairway important. The useful tee shot is often the one that leaves the clearest route into the green, even when that means choosing less than driver.
Water, bunkering and green angles reward golfers who think beyond the current shot. Conservative targets can be the better scoring choice when an aggressive line brings multiple hazards into play.
Visitor access
Limited tee times, package-based booking
Remedy Oak is primarily an exclusive members’ club, but a small number of visitor tee times are available.
The club currently sells visitor golf through a dedicated package that includes arrival refreshments, range balls and 18 holes. The published 2027 package is £195 per person; current-year pricing should be confirmed directly with the club before travel.
Equipment & preparation
Book hire before arrival
A limited number of hire sets are available, while electric trolleys, pull trolleys and a small number of buggies can also be reserved in advance through the Pro Shop.
The practice range and short-game facilities give travelling golfers enough space to prepare properly before the first tee rather than treating arrival as a quick check-in.
Stay · Play · Recover
Build a quieter premium Dorset break
Stay: Wimborne, Poole, Bournemouth or the New Forest corridor can all work depending on the rest of the trip.
Play: use Remedy Oak as the secluded woodland round and contrast it with Parkstone, Broadstone or an exposed coastal course.
Recover: keep the itinerary calm around the round. Short transfers, a good dinner and proper sleep preserve the premium feel better than overfilling the day.
Before you book
Confirm the visitor package directly
Visitor tee times are limited and package pricing, hire-set availability, buggy/trolley availability and club conditions can change. Confirm the current visitor offer directly with Remedy Oak before arranging travel.
