Two distinct championship heathland courses
Walton Heath’s Old and New courses share the same open heathland setting but provide different strategic tests. The Old is Herbert Fowler’s longer-established championship course; the New began as nine holes in 1907 and was extended to eighteen in 1913.
Visitor golf is currently published across the week
Walton Heath’s current visitor information lists access Monday to Friday from 9.30am, with later starting access at weekends and Bank Holidays. Visitor green-fee information is published for both 18-hole and, where available, 36-hole golf. Availability and pricing are date-sensitive and should be confirmed directly with the club before travel.
Old Course
Par 72 from the championship setup, with the club listing 7,174 yards from the back tees and 6,722 yards from the daily tees.
New Course
The club lists the New at 7,015 yards from the back tees and 6,659 yards from the medal tees, with a distinct cross-hazard strategy.
Trip role
Best used as a major Surrey anchor, pairing naturally with other heathland courses rather than being treated as a generic London-area round.
