Location: Dubai, UAE | Ranking: #93
Designer: Nick Faldo & Steve Smyers (1996) | Type: Desert Parkland | Green Fees: From AED 450
Editor’s Note: The Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club is the more technical and less celebrated of the two courses at Dubai’s original golf club — and consistently underestimated by visitors who focus exclusively on the Majlis. Nick Faldo brought his characteristic precision to the design: narrow corridors, severe bunkering and green complexes that demand accurate, controlled approach play. For golfers who prefer strategy over spectacle, the Faldo Course is the better test.

Key Notes & 19th Hole
- Faldo’s Design Philosophy: Every green is angled to reward approach from a specific part of the fairway — positional driving is more important than length. The course rewards those who play to the correct side of every fairway.
- 36 Holes at Emirates: Play the Faldo in the morning, the Majlis in the afternoon — the contrast between the two courses’ characters is one of the most interesting back-to-back experiences in Middle East golf.
- Atlantis The Palm (5★GL): Dubai’s most spectacular hotel — 20 minutes from Emirates Golf Club. Book via Expedia →
