West Cliffs
West Cliffs is a Cynthia Dye / Dye Designs course on Portugal’s Silver Coast, built through rolling sand dunes, coastal vegetation and pine-covered ground above the Atlantic. It is an 18-hole, par-72 layout with a maximum listed distance of 6,382 metres.

What to expect
West Cliffs is defined by exposure, ground movement and changing wind. The course sits close to the Atlantic and uses the natural duneland rather than trying to flatten it, so stance, trajectory and landing point all matter.
The scale is generous enough to be visually dramatic without making every hole a brute-force test. For mixed-handicap groups, sensible tee selection is the key to keeping the round enjoyable while preserving the intended strategic choices.
Course Swing · Silver Coast
West Cliffs and Praia D’El Rey are the obvious pairing: the current resort golf site promotes them together and says they are around five minutes apart. A practical Silver Coast swing is:

- Royal Óbidos
- Bom Sucesso

Stay · Play · Recover
Stay
West Cliffs currently offers Stay & Play packages and resort accommodation, including Twin Villas. Praia D’El Rey also provides a natural nearby alternative if you want to combine the two courses from one base.
Play
Book West Cliffs and Praia D’El Rey as the fixed pair, then add Royal Óbidos or Bom Sucesso around weather and tee-time availability. The short transfer between the two main courses makes a three- or four-night trip particularly efficient.
Recover
Use the resort and Atlantic coast for a slower recovery period after the round. If spa or specific wellness facilities are central to the trip, reconfirm the current hotel/resort offering directly before travel rather than relying on older package descriptions.
