Minchinhampton — Avening Course
The mature Fred Hawtree parkland course at Minchinhampton, offering a traditional tree-lined championship-style round at the New Courses site.
The mature parkland option
Avening is the more established parkland test at Minchinhampton’s New Courses complex. Mature trees, shaped fairways and a traditional inland rhythm make it the natural choice for golfers who want a classic club-course feel rather than the more open inland-links character of Cherington.
Traditionalists
Choose Avening if mature parkland, positional driving and a classic club-course atmosphere appeal most.
Two-round stays
Pair it with Cherington on the same trip for a genuine contrast without changing base.
South-Cotswolds breaks
Works naturally with Stinchcombe Hill, Cotswold Edge and Cirencester.
