Minchinhampton — Cherington Course
The newer inland-links-style course at Minchinhampton, more open and contemporary in character than Avening, with a strategic par-71 test across the New Courses site.
The more open championship-style option
Cherington gives Minchinhampton a distinct second championship course rather than simply another version of Avening. The broader, more open routing and inland-links feel create a different visual and strategic rhythm, making the two New Courses especially useful for a two-round stay.
Strategic golfers
Choose Cherington if you prefer a more open, modern test where angles, wind and approach control shape the round.
Two-round stays
Pair it with Avening to get two contrasting full-length rounds from the same club base.
South-Cotswolds trips
Use it as the stronger championship-style day in a wider Minchinhampton, Stinchcombe and Cotswold Edge itinerary.
