Minchinhampton — Old Course
Historic common-land golf dating to 1889, with an open, natural character and a very different experience from the club’s two New Courses.
The historic common-land option
The Old Course is the most distinctive of Minchinhampton’s three courses because it sits directly on the common and retains a natural, open feel. Its appeal is less about championship infrastructure and more about heritage, landscape and the kind of ground-led golf that gives a Cotswolds trip real variety.
Heritage golfers
Choose the Old Course for historic common-land golf and a strong sense of place.
Walking-golf trips
Its open common setting gives the round a very different rhythm from Avening and Cherington.
Three-course stays
Use it as the contrasting third round after the two New Courses rather than treating all three as interchangeable.
