How VDMIP learns safely
The Global Golfer uses supervised, privacy-conscious learning to improve future recommendations. The system does not autonomously rewrite live editorial or commercial rules.
What optional interaction data may include
- The journey selected and preferences entered.
- Recommendations displayed, compared, added, removed or saved.
- Edits made to a brief and the point at which a journey was completed or abandoned.
- Anonymous technical signals needed to understand whether the experience worked correctly.
What is excluded from the learning dataset
- Your name, email address and telephone number.
- Free-text information that could identify you, unless it has been safely removed.
- Newsletter or marketing choices.
- Sensitive health or wellness information used as general analytics.
Safeguards
- Participation is optional and off by default.
- Personal information is removed or pseudonymised before analysis.
- Small or unusual datasets are not used to draw broad conclusions.
- Commercial relationships cannot override relevance, evidence, safety or editorial independence.
- Gemini, Claude and ChatGPT may challenge recommendation quality, but they do not publish changes directly.
- A human reviewer must approve material changes to knowledge, ranking rules or customer-facing guidance.
- Every change is versioned, tested and reversible.
How improvement works
Aggregate patterns may be used to improve the questions asked, recommendation explanations, ranking weights and the order in which suitable options are shown. Changes are first tested against fixed scenarios and adversarial reviews. Only improvements that preserve privacy, evidence quality and editorial independence are retained.
Your choice
You can use the Concierge without allowing your anonymised interaction to be used for improvement. Service consent, saved-journey consent and marketing consent remain separate.
