The character
Minchinhampton’s strength is variety. The Old Course on the common feels very different from the Avening and Cherington layouts, allowing golfers to stay in one part of the Cotswolds while changing the texture of each round.
That makes the club more useful to a traveller than a single-course stop: it can anchor a two- or three-round break without forcing long transfers every day.
